Increased Popularity VS Lack of Proper Legislature for Party Buses:

I have always been skeptical of party buses but this fear heightened after hearing about the Lawson, MO wedding party bus fiasco (a guy fell out the bus and was hit by several other vehicles on the road). So I was naturally mortified when my friend mentioned that instead of a limo she was getting a party bus rental in Fort Lauderdale to take us from chapel to her wedding reception. I found myself instantly thinking of ways to stop her, I even considered missing out on the reception altogether. Well, nothing worked and I ended up boarding the bus with 9 other people (including the bride and groom). The party bus was nice, the seats were so comfortable they could even pass for a couch, there was karaoke, food, drinks, music, party lights, and even a dance floor. I couldn’t enjoy any of these things as my mind was too busy replaying the plot of “party bus to hell”. All my friends had a great time and we reached the wedding reception in one piece.

Party Bus Industry is still unregulated:

Thankfully, this party bus rental in Fort Lauderdale was highly maintained and taken care of, but not everyone who hires a party bus is fortunate enough to come across a company with quality vehicles. The popularity of party buses has increased exponentially and so has the number of party bus-related accidents over the last decade. The fatality rate in these freak accidents is over 50%. A most common reason is a drunk passenger hitting or tripping over the door lever, falling out of the bus and being hit or run over by the passing vehicles. Other causes are passengers sticking head out of the bus, the driver being drunk, the driver being exhausted and reckless driving (by the party bus driver or driver of another vehicle). But the reason topping the list is the lack of maintenance of the vehicles.

In the U.S. the number of people hiring party buses are increasing really fast still there is no statute regarding party bus regulations. This vehicle doesn’t even has a name. Party bus rentals in Fort Lauderdale who don’t have your best interest at heart are using this lack of regulations to their benefit. They don’t care about the proper maintenance of the vehicles as there is no check and balance. Most people on a party bus are drunk or high and any unfortunate incident can easily be turned into a booze-related accident.

Existing Legislature:

The only State of California has recently passed a legislature that has made it mandatory for party bus rentals to provide a chaperone (25 years or above) to keep check on underage drinking, property damage and reckless driving. This is a start but it is extremely important for all the states to hold party bus services accountable for the maintenance of their vehicles.

Maybe we’ll see proper laws and regulations regarding party buses in the near future, till then if you decide to hire a party bus, to avoid any mishap, do proper research and select a licensed, registered, high-quality service with skilled and professional chauffeurs just like Elite Ultra Bus party bus rentals in Fort Lauderdale.
